It was the worst performance I have seen Liverpool played at Anfield this season. We knew that we need to win to keep chase with Chelsea. We have most of our 1st team players in this game. First half we did not registered a single shot on target. Henderson and Can were all over the shop making mistakes after mistakes with misplaced passes. I was surprised by Klopp midfield selection. Teams that visit Anfield recently will park their bus in the half and tried to counter whenever possible. We should put Origi or Sturridge up from the start and hull Lallana back into the midfield trio. We allow 2 soft goals early in the second half with horrendous defensive lapses. The third was done by a series of softy mistakes. My sense of the problem is with the defensive trio. Two centre halves and the keeper. The lack of command and organisation at the back let us down time after time. As a whole, we are too nice a team. No steel presence. We will try to win the ball back 'politely'. We need a 'Roy Keane', 'Paul Ince', Mascherano type of guy. There is NO 'Thou shall not pass" spirit seen. Do we really have hopes for the title this season? It very much depends on 2 things. FIrstly we need Chelsea to slip up and we need to improve really fast. The creativity in our midfield lacks consistency. Plenty of hard running boys but we need that spark and the moment of brilliance to get us through to finish top in class. If we continue to work this way, we have no chance, absolutely no chance. 27 years on but I am still waiting patiently. YNWA. Come on boys, stand up and be counted.

7 years ago was when Lucas scored for Liverpool before yesterday 1 nil win over Plymouth. What a time to score when our strikers misfired. Sturridge was frustrated with the lack of service and Origi wasted a penalty chance. But kudos to the young guns. They hung in there, played the best they could and we manage to pull through to the 4th round. It was a good day for them to gain more experience, learn the mistakes and take a further step forward to being a pro footballer. Next, we play Wolves at Anfield. I sure the boys will improve further and make us proud again. Exciting day ahead. YNWA
So does Man U deserve the draw? My verdict, they had this little slice of luck. Our boys performed brilliantly. Without Matip ( due to the delayed verdict from FIFA), Mane and our little magician half fit for the last 30 mins. Young Trent Jones being thrown into the Cauldron as right back on his debut EPL appearance in probably one of the biggest rivalry match of 2017. We must be proud to be on having walked away with a point despite our lack of strength and in an extremely hostile environment. But, I was disappointed. We should have won.
My prediction was right. We gave Man U no breathing space throughout the game. Michael Carrick was marked out of the game, Progba under pressure all the time and went berserk, did a ballet dance in front of Lourven, hand to ball and gave us a penalty in the first half. Thereafter, there were pockets of opportunities for both sides to score. We could have killed the game with another goal earlier in the second half. Jose got desperate and decided to bring on the B52 bombing tactics ( long ball) brought Fellani came into play. We looked to our bench, no tall defensive guys available..Oops! At the 83rd minute, Valencia was offside when he crossed from the right and as it happened, with a slice of luck they equalised. I was stunned. It was like in a game Texas Holdem, on the River the dealer flopped a straights for the board, where you have already bang a trips. So now, you need to split the pot because the joker across the table got lucky. Hope we got more luck the next time. Still 7 points behind Chelsea. Next up with the Swans at Anfield. Now the race begins.. Let's bang in the wins boys..YNWA 15 Jan 2017 marks the biggest day for Merseyside reds in EPL. I would rather we win this game than winning the next two. It's Rivalry at the highest level. Jose has already started his mind games claiming he is calmer than Klopp ( Sky Sports). So what if you are calmer my friend? The result will speak for itself.
Coutinho and Henderson will most probably be featured. Matip highly unlikely. Mane is out for AFCON. We are lacking one reliable attacking option. This is tough battle as Man U has their better players fit. They are on a 9 games unbeaten run + playing at Old Trafford. I have watched some Man U recent games, with Garrick in the holding midfield role, Progba is free to roam and combine well with Zlatan. I reckon our strategy will be to close down on Garrick quickly not allowing him time and space to marshal the midfield. Therefore, Lallana and Wijnaldum must be include the centre of the park. Can form dip recently and I am not pleased with his first half performance against Sunderland. Upfront starters should be Coutinho, Origi and Firmino. With back four Milner, Louvren, Matip/Klavan and Clyne. Sturridge to come into the game at the 70 minute if the deadlock is still not broken yet. Man U under Jose will be most probably be playing their usual counter attacking game. If we stick to Jurgen game plan, our players perform at their optimum level and error free, we should we win this game. But in reality, I reckon 1 -1 is the scoreline We fielded the youngest side in FA Cup history. Plymouth parked their bus on the 18 yard line for the entire first half and was totally well organised. Their goal keeper was rarely troubled. In my opinion, Ben Woodburn played really well, showing guts and nice foot works. He certainly has the potential to become one of LFC greats. The rest of young lads played good too. We just could not come out with a moment brilliant to break the deadlock. In the second half, the game became a bit more opened as we see Plymouth came out of the shell. However, our final third lacked the edge. We have umpteen times on corner kicks and to no avail. We introduced Sturridge at the 70th min. He had a couple near misses, skinning just wide of the post. Lallana and Firmino substitution follow suit to beef our attack. It was a little too late. Stalemate at full time. Kudos to the plymouth boys. They came and stand resolute like the Great Wall of China. Nothing went through and earned a replay back home 10 days later. To the reds boys, you just to have to believe in your abilities. I am sure you can advance yourself into the 4th round. Keep it up! YNWA!
Borussia Dortmund 3 - Liverpool 2.. a while later Sakho scored the equalizer. Lourven confirmed our victory at the Kop end with minutes to go. We won! We won and are into Europa Champions League final. I almost went berserk! Personally, I like Mama for his determination and spirit during games. However, for some reasons he lacked discipline off field during LFC pre-season tour in 2016. Why has our once a hero become a non featured player under Klopp in 2016/17 season? He maybe off to Southhampton soon. Well, I guessed one will never be bigger than the club. If you are given the guidelines and you flouted with it a couple of times, you pay the price. After all, palyers are paid to play the game and behave professionally as role models to the young. When you failed to show you can follow simple instructions and if you are to be let off easily, all other players will follow. Then it will potentially snowball into massive disciplinary problems.. Good luck Mama for your all your future endevours and hope you have a successful career. I will always remember you as my hero on the night where you fought so hard and help write us into history books as one of the greatest football combacks of all times.
I was totally digusted by the referee decision on the first penalty kick awarded against us. I have seen the replay a few times and there was nothing in it. Our players looked lacklustre probably because due to fatigue. We missed a great chance to close the gap to 3 points with the leader. We took a step forward last week and taken half a step back after this game. With Sadio leaving us for AFC, I hope our we buy a new speedy midfielder. Our defence look vurnerable. Matip must return soon. There are still plenty of games to go and we just have to keep trying. YNWA.
Yes.. A win is a win. We open our gap to 4 points ahead of City. Now we are 6 points behind Chelsea. It is inevitably the best way to close off 2016 with a celebritary mood. Gini emphatic header gave us the win which Alan Shearer would be proud of. The only blip would be Henderson lipping off near the hour mark. I hope it is not too serious. He has been improved vastly under Klopp and is one of our key midfield cogs. Come Sunderland and we should be able to cope without our Captain. My prediction for the game will be LFC 3 and nil to the Black cats.
